NBA reschedules Warriors’ postponed games vs. Jazz, Mavericks

Two Golden State Warriors games that were postponed last week due to the death of Warriors assistant coach Dejan Milojević have been rescheduled, the NBA announced Friday. Milojević, 46, died on Jan. 17 after suffering a heart attack at a team dinner Tuesday in Salt Lake City.

The NBA initially postponed Golden State’s games against the Utah Jazz on Jan. 17 and the Dallas Mavericks on Jan. 19. The Warriors’ matchup against the Jazz will take place on Feb. 15 at 9 p.m ET in Utah. Their game against the Mavericks is slated for April 2 at 10 p.m. ET from Chase Center.

As a result, the Atlanta Hawks’ contest against Dallas, previously scheduled for April 5 will be rescheduled to April 4 at 8:30 p.m. ET from American Airlines Center. Golden State will also be on the road against the Mavericks on April 5 at 8:30 p.m. ET. That game was originally scheduled for April 2.

The Warriors honored Milojević ahead of Tuesday’s win over the Hawks. Milojević was the man who “embodied the spirit and values” of Golden State, Warriors coach Steve Kerr said Monday.
