Michigan leads all schools in 2024 NFL Draft with 13 players selected



From J.J. McCarthy at No. 17 to Cornelius Johnson at No. 253 — taken by former Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh’s Chargers — the Wolverines had 13 former players selected in the NFL Draft this week, leading all college programs in the country.

Here’s a breakdown of when and where each former Wolverine wound up:

  • No. 10 J.J. McCarthy, Minnesota Vikings
  • No. 49 Kris Jenkins, Cincinnati Bengals
  • No. 50 Mike Sainristil, Washington Commanders
  • No. 69 Junior Colson, Los Angeles Chargers
  • No. 83 Blake Corum, Los Angeles Rams
  • No. 84 Roman Wilson, Pittsburgh Steelers
  • No. 85 Zak Zinter, Cleveland Browns
  • No. 121 AJ Barner, Seattle Seahawks
  • No. 172 Trevor Keegan, Philadelphia Eagles
  • No. 240 Michael Barrett, Carolina Panthers
  • No. 249 LaDarius Henderson, Houston Texans
  • No. 252 Jaylen Harrell, Tennessee Titans
  • No. 253 Cornelius Johnson, Los Angeles Chargers

The program had 18 players invited to the NFL combine this year. Previously, the most Michigan players ever selected in a draft was 11 in 2017.

Georgia’s run of 15 players selected in 2022 remains the most a program has ever seen selected in a single draft. Here’s where Michigan sits in the all-time rankings for most players drafted in a single year.
