Cowboys All-Pro guard Zack Martin didn’t report to the start of training camp Tuesday because of a contract dispute, according to multiple reports. ESPN first reported the news. Here’s what you need to know:
- The cash payout for Martin, 33, is set to be $13.5 million in 2023, via Over the Cap. He ranks ninth among guards with his current contract averaging $14 million per season.
- During a news conference Tuesday afternoon, team owner Jerry Jones declined to say if he expects Martin to be at training camp when practices start Wednesday. The news of Martin’s absence broke shortly after.
- Martin is a six-time, first-team All-Pro and an eight-time Pro Bowler, including achieving both feats last season.
