Cillian Murphy Is the New Face of Versace

Cillian Murphy left his mark on the 96th Academy Awards this past Sunday in a sharply tailored Atelier Versace tuxedo—but the Irish actor actually made his Versace debut a few weeks earlier on the March 2024 cover of GQ.

Cillian Murphy Is the Man of the Moment

The Oscar-front runner has become one of our finest actors—while staying cleverly out of sight. Now, the Oppenheimer star pulls back the curtain (just a bit).

The actor’s official campaign will debut on April 3.

This is the first brand partnership for Murphy: a famously private actors’ actor who spends his off-seasons at home in Dublin and considers “having a normal life doing regular things” as the best mode of professional research. But after a whirlwind run working with stylist Rose Forde on Oppenheimer’s especially stylish press tour, he has also become one of the best-dressed men on every red carpet. However improbable it all would’ve seemed a year ago, Murphy is now both an Oscar winner and the newest face of Italy’s glitziest legacy brand.

“I am thrilled that Cillian is joining the Versace family,” says Donatella Versace in a statement. “He is a truly exceptional actor and totally deserves his Oscar win. He is magnetic and mesmerizing in front of a camera and I loved seeing him bring Versace to life.”
