Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid Are a Match Made in Streetwear Heaven

Bradley Cooper may be the master of his own swag destiny, but he’s also got a solid partner-in-crime: his stylish girlfriend, model Gigi Hadid.

Cooper cranked up the volume on his personal style since he and Hadid began dating last year, and he’s been photographed wearing a bevy of rare sneakers and outré designer duds as of late. (Perhaps Cooper’s pal Daniel Day-Lewis, a hall-of-fame dresser, has also shared some style wisdom.) While the couple is rarely seen together, the model’s influence on the Oscar nominee’s wardrobe is conspicuous: he frequently wears cashmere trousers and sweaters from her knitwear brand Guest In Residence, as well as the bright yellow Sambas trainers she designed in collaboration with Adidas.

But when Cooper and Hadid do step out together, it’s a bonafide streetwear bonanza. On Tuesday, while the pair hailed a cab in New York City, the actor-filmmaker accented his tonal green look—pairing a starchy olive-green wool jacket and sage-hued cargo trousers—with a rare pair of Air Force 1s designed by Riccardo Tisci in 2017, not long after he stepped down as Givenchy’s creative director. (Classic menswear silhouette plus ultra-hyped sneakers equals the ultimate Hollywood leading-man uniform—just ask Ben Affleck.) Hadid wore a burgundy Holzweiler moto jacket, Wales Bonner-designed Adidas sneakers, and pair of woven tapestry pants designed by Nigel Xavier, who is the most recent winner of the fashion reality competition show Next in Fashion, which Hadid co-hosts on Netflix.

Even beyond giving a nod to the winner of her Netflix series, Hadid and Cooper are well versed in turning paparazzi appearances into self-promotional exercises. As Vogue pointed out earlier this week, the couple recently grabbed breakfast in Manhattan wearing outfits that savvily called out their respective projects: Cooper, who still has a few more weeks of Oscar campaigning for his deep-dive portrayal of composer Leonard Bernstein in Maestro, wore a sweatshirt from the New York Philharmonic, which Bernstein led from 1958 through 1969. Meanwhile, Hadid slung an oversized Guest In Residence shopping bag over her shoulder.
