Greenhouse Grower’s Evening of Excellence event during Cultivate’23 was not only a chance to recognize and reward greatness in growing, breeding, technology, innovation, and leadership in the world of horticulture. It was also a chance to catch up with friends during one of the industry’s biggest events.
Greenhouse Grower’s Evening of Excellence, which took place at Cultivate’23, recognized greatness in breeding, growing, innovation, and more.
Program sponsors for Evening of Excellence were Berger, Nufarm, and Profile Products.
The winners wouldn’t be announced right away, leading to lots of intrigue among attendees.

Industry friends and family were there to support all nominees.
Head Grower of the Year finalists Drew Koschmann and Chris Schlegel talk business (we assume).
The Greenhouse Grower team: Heather Tunstall (Corporate Content Director), Wendy Probst (Editor), Brian Sparks (Senior Editor), Julie Hullett (Managing Editor), and Karen Gerome (Business Director).
Greenhouse Grower’s Julie Hullett and Brian Sparks emceed the festivities with a warm welcome.
The first winner of the night was PanAmerican Seed, which took home the Industry’s Choice award for ×Petchoa ‘Caliburst Yellow’.
Quality Greenhouses and Perennial Farm in Dillsburg, PA, was named Operation of the Year.
Selecta One won the Readers’ Choice award for its Potted Dianthus Capitán Series.
An emotional Todd Perkins of Syngenta Flowers was the 2023 Industry Achievement award winner.
LUNA AI from IUNU was the Technology of the Year award winner.
The Pacific Plug & Liner team accepts the Editor’s Choice Award for the Echibeckia Summerina Glow Series.
Drew Koschmann of Walters Gardens received the final award of the night, the Head Grower of the Year award.
